“When I was 16, my mum passed away from cancer, and my world changed.”

Daniel has been a part of Canteen since he was only 11 years old when his mother, Maria, was diagnosed with cancer.

Prior to his mum’s passing, Daniel learned through Canteen when and how to ask for support. Now he is one of Canteen’s amazing youth ambassadors, actively giving back to the community that helped him during the most difficult time of his life.

“I don’t know who I’d be or where I’d be, but it wouldn’t be here. I wouldn’t be as proud of myself as I am if I didn’t have people like you supporting me, and I know that mum would be proud of me.”
