Abbey’s Story

"Cancer doesn’t define who I am."

Abbey was 16 when her dad passed away from cancer, she joined Canteen not long afterwards. Now 21, Abbey is a youth ambassador representing Canteen and sharing her story to help other young people like her.

“Because of your kindness and support, I found a community I can rely on. I’ve learnt that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and that cancer doesn’t define who I am, and it never will.

I know my life isn’t defined by my cancer experience, it’s defined by the community and the support I have from compassionate people like you.”
