Support around fertility

Finding out your treatment might make you infertile can be another massive blow. It’s normal to feel sad, anxious or angry about this news when you’re still coming to terms with having cancer.

It can be difficult to talk about fertility with your parents, or with some doctors. You can have a confidential chat with a nurse, psychologist or counsellor within your YCS team.

Canteen also provides a free and confidential counselling service as well as an online community just for young people affected by cancer.

To learn more about cancer treatment and fertility, download or order a free copy of Maybe Later Baby – a guide to fertility for young people with cancer or young people after cancer.
