Abhi Malik 

Sharing his lived experience of a tongue cancer diagnosis and the decisions that followed. Abhishek will talk about how the cost of inaction and focusing on a value based approached to build the right foundations as a leader. This allowed Abhi to go from from taking life for granted to giving back to the community, attempting some of the toughest adventures, becoming an entrepreneur and focusing on the things that really matter. 

With a recent focus on positive and intentional self help habits, Abhi has been an active member of the Mental Fitness Collective - a group that meets weekly to create a safe space to share strategies for physical and emotional wellbeing. Hunter and Mate from the Mental Fitness Collective will share accessible and effective ways to improve your mental fitness.

A full-time magician with 15 years experience, Sydney magician Magic Mike offers a wide range of astonishing magical performances. 

Magic Mike has performed a very personal and powerful piece on Australia's Got Talent, touching on his own mental health and being vulnerable on a global scale. He’s been invited to perform for well-known Australians like comedians Hamish and Andy, Hollywood superstar Chris Hemsworth and Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s private NYE party. 

Magic Mike will entertain, thrill, and shock your guests with the kind of entertainment and close-up magic that will make them question everything they ever knew, while laughing 'til it hurts.

Career Insights: Communicating YOU to the world 

In this session, young leaders will delve into their personal identities to uncover and build a powerful personal brand. Participants will understand the importance of a personal brand, learn to articulate their unique value, and craft a confident elevator pitch. 

Through interactive activities and discussions, they will gain the skills to interact positively and effectively with others. By the end, attendees will have the tools and confidence to elevate their personal brand and achieve new heights in their personal and professional lives. 

 


Workshop Presenter: Mark Collard - Playmeo

Connection before Content: An Interactive Pathway to Well-Being 

This practical, fast-paced session will present a series of fun & highly interactive group games and activities that invite young people to play, interact, share and build trust. Mark's emphasis will focus on outrageously fun and very simple activities, many of which do not require equipment and appeal to all ages. Mark will present all of the activities and discuss how they can be easily integrated into your existing programs to not only invite young people to interact and have fun but to build healthy and trusting relationships, too. 

The entire program of activities will showcase and explore a set of key skills and strategies that will help you design and deliver programs more successfully. Mark will also speak briefly about the importance of building "connections before content" a unique programming approach that has transformed thousands of programs worldwide. You will receive tools on how to recognise and access what’s Beneath the Surface to provide a trauma-informed, responsive leadership style that is authentic to you, your experiences and your unique way of be-ing in the world. 

True North Leadership use positive, activity-based learning experiences so that participants have the opportunity to take action and reflect on their learnings in-the-moment. All participants will walk away with their own TNL ‘Aware’ Journal so that they can continue to receive and record their insights long after the workshop experience has completed…and continue the Leadership Development journey for maximum impact.
