Sunday 27 November was a memorable day for young people from Canteen in Tasmania. Seven adventurers came to try surfing for the first time and provided entertainment for onlookers.
Coastrider Surf School provided the boards and instructor, while Canteen provided the people and enthusiasm. Park Beach brought the waves and seaweed.
A few locals commented on how much fun was being had during the surf lesson, loads of laughs, shouts of encouragement and some great seaweed hairdos courtesy of the waves.
The happy group finished with a beautiful afternoon tea at Iron Creek, eating Banana splits and checking out photos and memories of their adventure in the ocean.
