Breaking Ground in AYA Cancer Care: 6th Global Congress Announced!

Adolescents and young adults with cancer (‘AYAs’) have unique and complex medical and psychosocial needs, distinct from those of paediatric and older adult patients, and as such they require tailored, specialised AYA care for optimal cancer care pathways.

Canteen Australia is pleased to invite you to the forthcoming 6th Global Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Congress, happening 3-6 December 2024 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, a vital forum for advancing AYA cancer care for over 400 professionals, encompassing medical, nursing, allied health, and psychosocial care experts, alongside consumers and patient advocates.

Building on highly successful events in Edinburgh in 2016, Atlanta in 2017, Sydney in 2018, UK (online) in 2021, and Long Beach in 2023, this year’s Global Congress will unite a global community dedicated to advancing AYA cancer care. The 2024 edition, "Ethics, Equity, and Emerging Ideas," is poised to drive collaboration, innovation, and ethical considerations in AYA cancer care.

The Global AYA Cancer Congress series was established in 2016 in partnership with Canteen Australia, Teenage Cancer Trust (UK), and Teen Cancer America (USA), dedicated to driving improvements in the care of adolescents and young adults with cancer.
