Youth Cancer Services

Victoria and Tasmania

The Victorian & Tasmanian Youth Cancer Service works alongside the Victorian and Tasmanian Adolescent & Young Adult Oncology Service (ONTrac) at Peter Macallum Cancer Centre. The team comprises professional staff specifically trained to help young people and their families throughout the cancer journey. We have a range of workers, all with different skills and experience, including doctors, nurses, social workers, a psychologist, school & vocation advisor, occupational therapist, exercise physiologist and music therapist.

Our Service works with cancer services across Victoria and Tasmania to provide: clinical care and support young people undergoing cancer treatment; state-wide secondary consultation service; professional development, education & training program for healthcare professionals; and clinical research program addressing the major health concerns and outcomes of young people living with cancer.
