Transport Support Volunteer

Closing December 31
Queensland, Launceston, Canberra and Sydney

CanTeen relies on the assistance and support of our volunteers to help us deliver our programs for young people. We can’t run our programs without our generous volunteers. As a Transport Support Volunteer you will be comfortable talking to young people and be the friendly first point of contact.

What’s involved?

CanTeen programs run for 1-3 days and provide our Members with the opportunity to meet other young people going through a similar experience, receive psychosocial support and have some respite and ‘time out’. To attend these programs, young people often need to travel to a central meeting point on public transport and then return home the same way afterwards. The Transport Support Volunteer will be there when they arrive or assist them to head home after the program, making the young person feel comfortable and safe.
