Regional Support Volunteer

Closing March 31
Port Macquarie

CanTeen relies on the assistance and support of our volunteers to help us deliver our programs for young people. We can’t run our programs without our generous volunteers. As a Regional Support Volunteer in our Port Macquarie regional, you have specialist skills that are essential in the running of our programs and engaging with the community.

What’s involved in Programs?
CanTeen programs run for up to 6 hours and provide our Members with the opportunity to meet other young people going through a similar experience, receive psychosocial support and have some respite and ‘time out’.  Volunteers play a crucial role providing effective support and supervision to Young People Living with Cancer (YPLWC) attending recreational days and programs.

It is anticipated that following a suitable period of on the job training the role will begin to work more autonomously, planning and delivering events for YPLWC.
