CanTeen has a research team that also partners with universities across Australia and other key bodies such as the Clinical Oncological Society of Australia (COSA) and Cancer Australia. We have conducted research into the needs of young people living with cancer and the impact on their mental health and well-being. Outcomes of this research have included the development of needs assessment measures, psychological interventions to provide more targeted support for these young people, and organisational prioritisation of developing our ‘Now What…?’ resources and establishing our counselling service.

CanTeen strives to communicate the results of our research to a wide audience in order to advance knowledge and influence practice and policy. Our research has been written up as research snapshots, published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at conferences. In this section you can read more about the outcomes of our research with young people living with cancer.
