Are you a Social Worker, Counselor or Psychologist looking to make a difference in the lives of Young People Living with Cancer?

Canteen relies on the assistance and support of our qualified volunteers to help us deliver our programs for young people. We can’t run them without our generous volunteers. As a Psychosocial Group Facilitator you have specialist skills that are essential in the running of our programs. In this role you will facilitate or co-facilitate group discussions, provide psychosocial support, participate in and help run activities and most importantly have fun in the process!

What’s involved?

Canteen programs run for 1-3 days and provide young people with the opportunity to meet others going through a similar experience, receive psychosocial support and have some respite and ‘time out’. Psychosocial Group Facilitators play a crucial role providing effective support and supervision to Young People Living with Cancer attending programs and other group work events.
