Terms & Conditions	Welcome to Club CanTeen! The purpose of Club CanTeen is so that you can blog with your fellow CanTeen Members, share your experiences of living with cancer, support each other and gain information. While CanTeen wants you to use this place to your advantage so you can extend your contacts with other CanTeen Members all over Australia, there are some terms and conditions which you must read carefully and agree to abide by when visiting Club CanTeen. Please note that Club CanTeen will be regularly monitored. If you have forgotten your password you can email the monitor at web.monitor@canteen.org.au Uphold and respect CanTeen's Values Respect and integrity Pride and accountability Teamwork and inclusiveness Flexibility and initiative Understanding and compassion Inspiration and encouragement Positivity and celebration Security of passwords You must not disclose your user name or password to any person, even your family members. The last thing we want is an embarrassing photo of you to be posted by your little brother or sister! This is also for your safety so that people who are not Members of CanTeen do not get access to Club CanTeen. You must take keep your user name and password secure so that it is not copied or used by any person. Please notify the Club CanTeen monitor if you become aware that another person has used your user name or password. Once we know this we will deactivate your user name and password and will create you a new one. Giving out personal details You have been given a log-in user name and password that does not identify you in any way to other users of Club CanTeen except to the monitor. If you are sending messages to people please do not give out your telephone number or physical address. This includes posting any personal information about a third person. If you want to make contact with other Members the best way to do this is through your Division. Photos Please do not post any inappropriate photos (including adult only photos!!) Also do not post photos of a third party without their permission. Imagine if you found a photo of yourself that you didn't want to be there.....particularly if you are in dress up! Photos should be limited to CanTeen events and only photos of yourself. Inappropriate Behaviour This website is not the place to act inappropriately or show behaviours including Negativity, personal abuse including those based on sex, religion, culture, race and sexuality Posting images or conversations that could be in any way offensive, harmful or hurtful to yourself or others This is not a place to discuss any thoughts, feelings or behaviours around issues like self harm and suicide. Remember that there are 2000 plus people with access to Club CanTeen! There are other ways to seek formal help. Please speak to your MLO. What the.....Swearing Swearing is not permitted in Club CanTeen. If your message contains swear words they will be detected by our explicit language scanner and the message will not be posted. You may also be refused to post messages on Club CanTeen again. R.E.S.P.E.C.T....(find out what it means to me).....other opinions Try not to make judgements and do not attack other people if you disagree with them or their opinions. Don't say things you would not feel comfortable saying in a room full of people..... Sssshhhhh......Confidentiality Information discussed will not be shared or taken out of Club CanTeen unless there is the potential for harm and further action needs to be taken. Lost in translation Things can get lost in translation across the internet, and something you say in a sarcastic tone or when being funny may be perceived differently by the person receiving it and they may take offence or become upset. Emoticons (such as smiley faces) are a great way to show people your real meaning and that you are trying to have fun. No Bullying CanTeen does not allow bullying in any way on our programs and the same goes for Club CanTeen. If CanTeen hears of, or notices any bullying behaviours or put-downs the user will be refused access to Club CanTeen. I'm not a doctor but.....Don't Give Advice We are encouraging Members to talk to each other and share their experiences of living with cancer through Club CanTeen, however we do not want to encourage Members to use each other in place of services inclusive of medical and counselling services. It's not eBay! Club CanTeen is not the place to sell things or trade stuff......even if you are trying to sell your younger brother or sister! Staying Safe If a monitor of Club CanTeen become aware that a Member may be at risk of harm from another person, or to themselves through suicide or self harm, then as an employee of CanTeen they are legally required to report this behaviour to the appropriate protection unit. If another Member sees evidence of this behaviour whilst they are posting, they are encouraged to report this confidentially to the Club CanTeen monitor so that action can be taken to help that Member. Contact details to do this are: web.monitor@canteen.org.au CONSEQUENCES By agreeing to the terms and conditions of Club CanTeen, you accept the consequences for not adhering to the rules (much like program rules), which are subject to the discretion of CanTeen. CanTeen may, as a consequence of breach of the terms and condition or otherwise, refuse permanent or temporary access to Club CanTeen, CanTeen programs or revoke CanTeen Membership in accordance with Rule 21 of the Constitution. CanTeen is also able to discontinue use of Club CanTeen for a Member if the conduct by the Member is unbecoming or prejudicial to the interest of CanTeen.
