Supporting young people with cancer is now as easy as donating your old mobile phone.

CanTeen has partnered with Sony Foundation to raise $15 million for CanTeen's Youth Cancer Fund. The Fund will greatly improve the lives of young people with cancer, through age-appropriate centres and services throughout Australia.

Sony Foundation will swap old mobile phones for cash to raise money for the development of youth cancer programs and services. Donated phones will either be refurbished and resold or broken down and recycled.

It is estimated that there are anywhere from 15 to 20 million unwanted phones in Australian homes. Now is the perfect time to dig them out and donate them!

You can also arrange to collect phones at your school or work place. Just visit the You Can website to order freepost envelopes, boxes and posters. The more phones collected, the more money raised for the Youth Cancer Fund.

For some cancers, the chances of survival are halved at the age of 16. The Youth Cancer Fund aims to improve the survival rates and quality of life for young people aged 15 - 30 with cancer.
