Here are some of our Partners...
Wendys and CanTeen have embarked on an exciting three year partnership which will make young people living with cancer across Australia smile. In addition to contributions from the company itself, Wendys will be raising funds for CanTeen through cause related marketing campaigns, customer and staff fundraising and sales of National Bandanna Day merchandise.
Wendys is also generously donating ice-cream as a treat for CanTeen Members at a number of CanTeen support programs.
This June, Wendys is releasing a special ice-cream flavour to raise funds for CanTeen. The flavour, called Three Wishes, is available by the scoop or as ice-cream cakes and was named by a CanTeen Member. For more information click here
We look forward to further inspiring and creative fundraising initiatives as the partnership continues.
The nib foundation has donated $1.5 million to CanTeen over 3 years to develop an Offspring Support Program which helps young people who have had a parent diagnosed with cancer or who have had a parent die from cancer.
The program enables CanTeen to provide a brand new counselling service in Newcastle, Melbourne and Brisbane, through the employment of 3 counsellors in these pilot sites. Counsellors can offer face to face support, as well as online and telephone counselling in either an individual or group setting.
Additionally we are able to further distribute our amazing Now What..? Dealing with your parent's cancer and Now What..? Living with the death of your parent, brother or sister from cancer resources with the funding received.
So a huge thanks to the nib foundation for enabling CanTeen to offer additional psychosocial support to young people living with cancer.
The Fresh Food People are CanTeen’s largest national reseller during our National Bandanna Day campaign in October each year. Each year Woolworths staff get behind National Bandanna Day and encourage shoppers to dig deep and pop a bandanna in their shopping trolley. So far, Woolworths has raised over $4million for CanTeen.
Woolworths has now made it easy for shoppers to support CanTeen by taking donations at all checkouts. Customers can just let the Woolworths checkout operator know that they want to make a donation to CanTeen and it will be added to their grocery purchases. A donation of any kind is welcome, with all donations over $2 tax deductible. Help spread the word about this great new initiative and make sure CanTeen is on grocery lists across Australia. Thank you Woolworths!
CanTeen has partnered with Sony Foundation to form the You Can Campaign and to raise funds for CanTeen’s Youth Cancer Fund. The Fund will greatly improve the lives of young people with cancer, through age-appropriate centres and services throughout Australia.
As part of the You Can Campaign, Sony Foundation will swap old mobile phones for cash to raise money for the development of youth cancer programs and services. Donated phones will either be refurbished and resold or broken down and recycled. It is estimated that there are anywhere from 15 to 20 million unwanted phones in Australian homes. Now is the perfect time to dig them out and donate them!
You can also arrange to collect phones at your school or work place. Just visit the You Can website to order freepost envelopes, boxes and posters. The more phones collected, the more money raised for the Youth Cancer Fund.
